Hi, I’m Jessica and I’m glad you’re here. Therapy is so much more than sitting on a couch while someone asks “And how does that make you feel?” It’s a process. It’s learning new skills, gaining insight, and taking back control over your situation. It’s a safe space for understanding and exploring your feelings. I provide a warm, comforting and nonjudgmental environment for us to collaborate in.
You may find yourself questioning whether therapy is right for you. You might worry "Does speaking with a therapist mean something is wrong with me?" Firstly, I would like to remind you that it's just as normal to experience lows as it is to experience highs. Secondly, if you are facing a difficult or trying time in your life, having the support from a therapist can help you gain a different perspective. Being able to take on your challenges in a new way can provide the possibility to move beyond them. Asking for help doesn't mean you're flawed, it means you're human.
