Hi – My name’s Jessica and I love my job! I have studied Psychology for over a decade, and I find therapy to be life changing. Through both personal and clinical experience I have witnessed first hand the positive changes that come from the work of self assessment and reflection.
As a clinician, I approach therapy from a holistic perspective. Often I see clients because they are struggling with their mental health, and want tools for change and relief. It’s very easy to overlook all the different parts of our lives that impact our mental health. My first few sessions working with someone new are very comprehensive, as I find it essential to understand all facets of your life in order to truly individualize a care plan. When it comes to application, I pull from a variety of therapeutic modalities. I first aim to build a trusting relationship, and then I alternate between work that’s guided and collaborative.
I have lived in California almost my entire life, though I do enjoy the experience of new places. I love connecting with people and hearing their stories. I believe we’re all having our own human experience on this planet and comparison truly is the thief of joy. I strive to live by the golden rule and to leave things better than I found them. Oh and yes, I always want to see the picture of your pet!
