Hi, I’m Jessica and it’s very nice to meet you!
As a clinician, I approach mental health from a holistic perspective which simply means I consider all the different parts of life that impact mental health functioning. In our first few sessions together, we will take a comprehensive dive into your life and inner world. This is essential in order to truly individualize a care plan. When it comes to application, we’ll work from a variety of therapeutic modalities but most importantly, I first aim to build a trusting relationship with you – the person sitting across from me.
If you pause to notice, almost everything now is automated for efficiency and convenience. Every interaction feels like a transaction with so many things designed to be swiftly dealt with and checked off a list. The experience of human connection is what makes therapy so sacred in today’s world. My approach is all about getting back to the art of being human. Therapy with me is slowing down & regulating, carving out time for self-exploration, and learning & practicing skills that improve your quality of life. It’s pushing back against a system that says you must always be doing more, moving faster, and giving continuously.
I love connecting with people and hearing their stories. I believe in the golden rule and leaving things better than you found them. Oh and yes, I always want to see the picture of your pet!
